This page explains the full booking lifecycle and what to do if something goes wrong.
1. Request. The hirer submits a booking request with dates, shoot type, crew size, and details.
2. Review. The host has 48 hours to accept or decline, and may ask questions or request proof of Public Liability Insurance first.
3. Acceptance & payment. On acceptance, the hirer is charged in full and the booking is confirmed.
4. Before the shoot. Host and hirer confirm logistics, parking, areas to be used, and any house rules. A pre-shoot walkthrough is recommended.
5. Shoot day. The hirer uses the space as agreed; the host supervises or provides a point of contact.
6. After the shoot. A post-shoot walkthrough is recommended. Photos/videos before and after help document the condition of the space.
7. Payout & reviews. The host payout is released within 7 days of the booking start. Both parties can leave reviews.
Because all communication and payment stay on the platform, Film There can act as a third party in dispute resolution.
1. Document everything. Keep before/after photos and videos and a written record of what happened.
2. Contact the other party. Many issues are resolved directly between host and hirer.
3. Raise it with Film There. Email [email protected] or use live chat with your booking reference and evidence.
Claims must be reported within 48 hours of the booking ending.
4. Resolution. Film There reviews the evidence from both sides and helps reach a fair outcome, which may involve the hirer's Public Liability Insurance for property damage.
Off-platform payments or messages void these protections, so always keep your booking on Film There.
