Film There is a marketplace built exclusively for filmmaking and photography. It connects property hosts with hirers looking for film-friendly locations — letting hirers search, message hosts directly, and book a space quickly, while giving hosts a new way to showcase their property and earn income.
1. Create your profile. Searching and browsing are free, but to message a host or book you'll need an account (email, Facebook, or Google).
2. Search and shortlist. Browse listings by keyword, location type, and style on desktop or mobile.
3. Message or recce. Use the Message host button to ask questions or arrange a recce. All bookings must stay on the platform.
4. Request to book. Choose your dates and times (you can add multiple days), then submit the booking request with your shoot details, crew size, and payment details.
5. Confirmation. The host has up to 48 hours to accept or decline. When they accept, your payment is taken and the booking is confirmed.
6. Shoot day. Arrive prepared, respect the agreed house rules, and keep the space in good condition.
1. Create your account. Sign up and verify your email, then complete your profile.
2. List your location. Follow the 6-step process: (1) About & location name, (2) Details & house rules, (3) Images, (4) Availability, (5) Cancellation policy, (6) Pricing & publish. Listing is free.
3. Connect Stripe. Set up Stripe (a one-time, 3–5 minute step) so you can receive payments.
4. Review requests. Vet each hirer — shoot type, crew size, rooms used, and proof of Public Liability Insurance — then accept or decline within 48 hours.
5. Host the shoot. Do a walkthrough before and after, secure valuables, and be transparent about any CCTV.
6. Get paid. Your payout is released to your bank account within 7 days of the booking start date.
