A single reference for how money moves on Film There — what hirers pay, what hosts earn, and when.
Browsing, searching, messaging, and listing a location are all free. Film There only earns when a booking is successfully made.
Film There charges hosts a commission of 20% (including taxes) on the total booking fee. This covers platform maintenance, secure payment processing, and customer support. For hirers, the service is free — you only pay the booking price.
All payments run through our third-party provider Stripe, an industry-leading secure payment processor. Film There does not store full card details.
We use Stripe for all payments. Payouts to hosts are made automatically after each shoot, deposited into your connected bank account. To receive payment you must have a connected Stripe account and accept Stripe's terms — see https://stripe.com for details.
At listing Step 6 you can use quick pricing or customise rates by production type and crew size — for example a fixed rate for a set number of people, with higher rates as crew size increases.
The system automatically generates invoices for both hirers and hosts under Profile → History and Billings https://filmthere.com/billing_history/payments. Hirers can also request an invoice directly from a host; note that not all hosts are VAT registered, so check before booking if VAT matters to you.
